Special Olympics (SO) Ireland Winter Games 2024

Lisnagry Special Olympics (LSO) welcome back Louise & Jimmy from their floorball participation in the SO Ireland Winter games in Craigavon, Co. Armagh.  Congratulations to you both.

From the opening to the closing ceremony both were involved in team divisioning, team competition, media interviews, healthy athlete workshops, early mornings and discos.  Jimmy & Louise were so proud to be our reps on Team Munster Mens 4 and Ladies 2 squads.  Their commitment in advance and during the event was second to none.

Jimmy and his teammates were narrowly beaten in the first match and in a 2^nd /3^rd position play off they beat Leinster 6 v 3 to claim the silver medal. Louise and her teammates were the team to beat in their division and they proved their worth by playing unbeaten to claim the gold medal.
