Dublin City Council is organizing events to celebrate Bike Week.
They are organizing the events with partners in Active Cities, Sports & Wellbeing Partnership, Cycling Ireland, Fingal County Council, the OPW, the Bike Hub, Dublin Cycling Campaign, and they’re funded through the Department of Transport.
They are fun inclusive events and everyone is welcome.
The event will showcase the many different accessible bikes that are available. It is an opportunity for children and adults with additional physical and intellectual needs to try out a trishaw, wheelchair bike or adapted cycle in a safe environment. A number of accessible bike providers will be showcasing bikes including Adult Three Wheelers, Companion Quad Cycles, Three Wheeled Children’s Bikes, The Driesen Wheelchair Platform Bike and our Cycling Without Age Trishaws, so there is something there for people of all abilities. This event takes place on Furze Road in the Phoenix Park, which will be completed car-free for the duration of the event. Car Parking for the event is located a short distance away at the Papal Cross Car Park
Date: Sunday 14th May
Location: Phoenix Monument Roundabout (off Acres Road, beside the Papal Cross)
