Sock Tree Fundraiser

T.E.E.S. Limerick – The Sock Tree Fundraiser project started out as active citizens helping to spread awareness of World Downs Syndrome Day on March 21st.

On the Down Syndrome Website they have the slogan ‘With us not for us’. This is the slogan that inspired this Sock Tree Fundraiser project.

Mick and Oisín made the structure, then socks came from all over Limerick city and county and bags and bags from Tipperary.

We had a lot of help from Lorraine and Kerrie on the fundraising tech and ‘lets make it happen’  mantra.

After a lot of work the Sock Tree is fully grow and planted in the Lobby of The Tait Business Centre, Limerick.

So grateful to everyone; supported persons, parents, staff and Tipperary people. Thank you all.
