It’s a time to recognize the unique strengths and challenges faced by autistic individuals and to promote education, compassion, and inclusion.
In Ireland, various organizations, including the Irish Society for Autism, actively participate in events and initiatives to mark this important day. They aim to create awareness about autism and highlight the complex needs of both children and adults with autism.
This year, Autism-Europe is launching a multiannual Europe-wide campaign called “Not Invisible” to commemorate World Autism Awareness Day. The campaign seeks to keep raising awareness beyond April 2nd, emphasizing the visibility of autistic individuals and their contributions.
